Henry for Outlook: This app could not be started

Issue

When you try to use Henry for Outlook , you see the error message:

App Error: This app could not be started. Close this dialog to ignore the problem or click "Restart" to try again.

This is a known issue that occurs if Protected Mode is not enabled for the Internet Sites Zone in Internet Explorer.

Solution

  1. Download and install this Office 2013 update from Microsoft (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2986156)
  2. Add https://hihenry.com/ and https://www.hihenry.com/ to trusted sites list in Internet Explorer.
  3. Enable Protected Mode for the Internet Site Zones.

From Internet Explorer click Tools > Internet Options, click the Security tab and select Enable Protected Mode. Click OK to save the change.

3. Restart Internet Explorer and then restart Outlook or Word.
