With Henry, it’s easy to share the right content with the right people at the right time when onboarding or offboarding employees. Below, we’ll show you how to create engaging messages to educate and inspire your employees as well as collect information and delegate tasks.
If you're unsure how to start, you can always use or pre-written Library for inspiration.
To create a message you need to have created a journey first. When on the journey's page you can click Add new step and select Create new message.
You'll be redirected to your message where you can name your message and start writing!
Writing your content
You write your content using blocks which allows you to add more engaging content to your messages such as images, videos and files as well as form elements like tasks and questions.
Messages need a Subject line, which will be the subject of the email and the name of the message in the Employee portal.
You add a new block to your message by clicking the Add a block icon which shows you the options.
Just click the type of block you want to add and start typing!
Adding tasks and questions
If you need to delegate tasks to your employees and managers or collect information from them you can add tasks and questions that will be sent to the recipient of the message.
You add a task or question by clicking the Add a block button and choose what type of question you'd like to add. We currently support:
- Free text question
- Multiple choice where the recipient can choose one option.
- Multiple choice where the recipient can choose multiple options.
Make the message more personal
When writing your message you might want to use information about the person who is being on- or offboarded. Or information about that person's manager.
You can easily add this information by clicking the purple Tag icon to the right of the message to expand a list of possible tags you can add.
Preview your message
When you have a draft ready that you'd like to preview - just Save the message and click the Preview message tab. When previewing a message you can send a test email to yourself to see how it looks in your inbox.
Pst.. Don't forget to Save your message before leaving the page.
